It is of utmost importance for an INTERREG MEDOCC Project to foresee to a dissemination plan of objectives and results. For this reason, this Phase encompasses a series of actions in order to attract as much public interest as possible.

Action 7.1 : Translation of manuals

The collaboration of several teams in the framework of another project has allowed the reduction of two practical pieces of work (one for collecting and storing in Seed Bank and the other for germination). This project foresees to the translation of this work in the other languages spoken in the participating regions, as well as the improvement of the dissemination to associated authorities in all regions involved in the project.

Action 7.2 : Popularization and Publicity

The publication of a half-yearly newsletter (4 issues in total) is foreseen for the dissemination of the project itself, as well as news, events, and the significance of working in a network in the Mediterranean region. Moreover, leaflets and posters will be printed and used for an exposition concerning the importance of protection and conservation of natural habitats.

Action 7.3 : Website

This website is used (website already created in the framework of a previous project) for the detailed dissemination, among others, of: a) the importance of the protection and conservation of biodiversity; b) the efficiency of the project INTERREG IIIB MEDOCC in promoting collaboration within a network, in a common biogeorgaphical region; c) the results of the project; d) the management tools for the public in general, but mainly for the authorities responsible for managing areas of environmental interest.

Action 7.4 : Database

The website also hosts a database in which the partners will introduce all the necessary data for the efficient continuity of actions carried out, mainly information on habitats, populations, and collected species. All the scientific results of the project will be registered in this database.

Action 7.5 : Brochure + CD-ROM

A brochure and a CD-ROM of the activities and the results of the project will be published at the end of the project in order to disseminate information in conferences or seminars related to the project subjects. These tools of popularization and dissemination will be also sent to authorities responsible for the management of natural areas, study centres, universities, libraries, etc.

Action 7.6 : Seminar in Crete

A dissemination seminar of the results will be organised in Crete by partner 7 (MAICh). Along with presentations by different partners, specialists will be invited to speak about topics directly related to the project.
